    Many people are questioning my assumption that SC/ST/OBC candidates don't compete with general candidates in open category seats. The reason for my assumption is simple. You must have seen often that even the reserved seats for SC, ST, OBC are lying vacant because there aren't enough candidates to fill them up.     Dhruv sir ... Our income is not more than 2 lakhs per year but I belong to general category... During medical entrance ,my marks were 460 and my class mate got 350 ...... And she got admission and I was rejected.. *Tb Maine god se pray Kiya k mujhe SC category mein Kyun nhiii bheje*

    Hello Dhruv,In Maharashtra, currently there is a on going case on Maratha reservation of 16% and it has led to issues for medical students seeking admission for neet pg as the percentage of open seats left is only 5% after that and also for the FYJC where the percentage of reservation reaches to 103% if such a bill becomes a law. The government has passed this just before elections and it has become very difficult for the students to get admission. How will a country progress if such law is passed to...

    If a SC/ST category students with parental income 40 LPa can be considered poor and hence provided free education at iits ,nits and other premier institutes and obc students hving income less than 8 lpa can be considered poor then why general category students with parental income 8 lpa should be called rich and not be given any reservation and financial suupport.

    Actually caste based reservation should be abolished. Economic reservation should be given to families having income lower than 4 lakhs.
