Learn more about the automation of warfare:

Artificial intelligence has already crept into cars, homes, and phones. It’s changed how nations communicate, and it can transform how they wage war. But do we want it to? Maybe not. Here’s the story of how autonomous weapons — those that can select and attack targets without human intervention — have been under development for decades.

Heisenberg Do you want your people to die In a war which was mostly likely for nothing ? You are the reason people keep dying Because you are scared to make a change.

I love how things like the UN or ICRC try to change the world for the better with universal rules, but it sucks how little control they have of what happens if these rules are broken.

I actually don't find that as a negative thing. Having all power centralized like a global government will just lead to absolute corruption in the long run. We can still find peace and make the world a better place even without the UN.

The UN is impotent. We still live in a world where might decides who's right and leaders of powerful nations are exempted from abiding to the rules meant for all

Nick C while I agree with the mission, I’m not sure about the journalistic delivery. We come to expect limited bias (ideally - in theory) in this format. Something that’s paid for isn’t unbiased. You know? At least it’s in the title, it’s not their fault that people may not read it. Good content. Great cause.

Flight of the Conchords got it right when they said that if every soldier in this world, put down his weapon and picked up a woman - what a peaceful world this world would be. #brunettesnotfighterjets

  • Avast, Avery!

     (May 15, 2018)

The problem is that at some point the soldier will put back down the woman and pick up his weapon again. Nationalism and an international system based on nation statehood as the standard unit, will never allow us to transcend our tribal tendencies.
