    Caution Hazardous is correct. Many Americans (especially) and some British native speakers don't speak or write English well. We never master our first language; and here, we have to study at least one foreign language, but most never become fluent.

    +KryssLaBryn Speaking of Fish, if the English language had phonetic consistency then it could be spelled "Ghoti" because:gh, pronounced /f/ as in enough /ɪˈnʌf/ or tough /tʌf/;o, pronounced /ɪ/ as in women;ti, pronounced /ʃ/ as in nation /ˈneɪʃən/ or motion /ˈmoʊʃən/.

    +wanderingbufoon You'd be wrong not to use bravo. The greek alphabet doesn't have all of the same letters as the modern English alphabet so trying to use it phonetically will eventually end up with roadblocks. A doesn't just mean alpha. A (ay) is the word for A. Z (zee) is the word for Z (in American English, zed in others).The most widespread phonetic alphabet in English is the NATO phonetic alphabet which dictates that B is communicated as Bravo.
